Aaron Ganz (Artistic Director)

Mr. Ganz received his B.F.A. in Drama from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and his M.F.A. from the Institute for Advanced Theater Training/Moscow Art Theater School at Harvard University along with advanced training at The Actor’s Movement Studio in New York.


As an actor, Mr. Ganz has appeared in numerous New York productions including Off-Broadway with The Pearl Theater Company. Regionally, he has worked with acclaimed companies such as the American Repertory Theater, the Utah Shakespearean Festival, and the Chautauqua Theater Company. Internationally, Mr. Ganz has appeared in multiple stage productions at the renowned Moscow Art Theater in Russia.


As a director Mr. Ganz has helmed numerous productions including The Front Page, Dark of the Moon, Uncle Vanya, A Streetcar Named Desire, and The Phantom Lady all produced at the X Repertory Theater Company along with Theatrum Elysium's highly-acclaimed productions of CymbelineJoan of Arc, Wouldn't It Be Lovely, and The Lady of Shalott . A sought-after theater educator, Mr. Ganz is the author of The Acting Matrix training technique, and has taught acting technique, voice, and movement work at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, The Actor’s Movement Studio in New York City, the Utah Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City, along with creating the X Repertory Theater Company’s Studio XRT in Los Angeles.


Regional acting credits include: The Front Page, Betty’s Summer Vacation (American Repertory Theater). Much Ado About Nothing, Richard III, Measure For Measure, and The Comedy of Errors (Utah Shakespearean Festival), The Cherry Orchard, A Soldier’s Tale, and Twelfth Night (Chautauqua Theater Company). While in Russia, Vanya in Zoya’s Apartment, and Prince Andrei in War and Peace (Moscow Art Theater). Off-Broadway he has appeared in The Phantom Lady and The Tempest (The Pearl Theater Company). LA acting credits include: Even Yet, Its Mighty Daring Sings, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, and Waiting for Godot (X Repertory Theater Company) HamletThe Vanek Trilogy, Melancholy Play, and No Exit (Theatrum Elysium).
