Getting To Know... Neyssan

Tell us about a transformative educational experience.

My geography teacher when I was 12 in school.

What about transformative professional experiences?

Playing Macbeth as Macbeth in French, in a big old theatre in Marseilles. The mastery of the text, the leadership, the responsibility, the emotional journey seemed so big, unattainable, but I did it!

Why I do what I do...

Because I love acting, studying human nature through plays and films, making people think, hope and be inspired.

What about ECT inspires you?

The rawness of its spirit. Its core values and members. The passion for Theatre and for bringing real, committed storytelling to the audience.

Where have you traveled? Where would you like to visit?

Asia, Australia, North America, Africa and Europe. I dream of traveling to Brazil.

My favorite "day-off" event would be...

Wandering by the ocean, or in the forest. Sitting at a coffee shop with a book and coffee and chocolate. Going to the movies.

If I had one million dollars I would...

Treat my mom to beautiful places of the world. I would get a beach house by the ocean. I would get a nice, old car. I would use most of it for social changes, especially in the field of justice, youth empowerment, education, second chances for out-of-jail inmates.

Did you know...

I pierced my nose for an audition.
